Goliath beetles are among the largest insects on earth if you measure them in terms of size, weight, and bulk. They feed primarily on fruit and tree sap, but can be fed commercial cat and dog food when reared in captivity. The grub or larva of goliath beetles can be twice as heavy as the adult beetle.
